Event Description

Southern Maryland Community Network is a non-profit mental health agency serving the Southern Maryland area.  Our Annual 5K Resolution Run/Walk helps raise money for our community mental health programs.  This fundraising event also helps us to create awareness about mental health in our community.  A portion of the proceeds also benefits the Erica Weems Scholarship Fund.  Erica was an employee of SMCN and was tragically killed in a car accident in August of 2007.

New Virtual 5K Option!

Registration starts at 8:00 am and the race starts at 9:00 am sharp.  Parking is available next door at the Patuxent Health Center building.  The race begins and ends at our main office parking lot entrance, located at 305 Prince Frederick Blvd. Prince Frederick, MD 20678.  Cash, check or credit card are accepted.  Light breakfast will be served before the race starts.  Post-race hot soup will be served to everyone and our awards ceremony will include 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place finishers by age category with a male and female overall winner (fatest time).  The race is timed by the Chesapeake Bay Running Club for one hour.
