Event Description

The Turkey Day 5K is a community event to encourage movement before the feast and to stock the shelves of our local food bank. 

For each non-perisable canned item you bring on race day, Robert Selb Homes and the Turkey Day 5K sponsors will match the donations for the Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf. 

Be sure to register before 11/10/19 to ensure you get an event t-shirt. 

Register by 11/24/19 before the price moves up.

There are two options to run the Turkey Day 5K: 1) As an individual participant, or 2) As a team of 3. Teams will be scored like a cross country meet. Each team members score is based off of their finish number. All three teammates finish numbres are added together for a total team score. Lowest score wins. (Example: Finish places 2, 8, 23 = 33)

Awards (locally baked pies!) will go to the top 3 female finishers and top 3 male finishers in the individual race. Awards will go to the top all female, all male, and coed team in the team race. Individual and team races will be run together.

The Turkey Day 5K is in its first year. 

Event details and schedule

Race day registration begins at 8:00am at Colby Lake Park. All participants must sign a waiver at packet pick up. Team members must pick up their own packet and sign individual waivers.

The race starts at 9:00am. 

Please bring your registration confirmation and photo ID to pick up your packet. 

The run starts at Colby Lake Park and runs a figure eight pattern around the park and Colby Lake along the trail.

PARKING: Please park at Colby Lake Park and not at Valley Crossing Elementary. Race registration, packet pick up, and donation drop off will be at the warming house next to the playground.
