Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trots date back to 1896 in Buffalo, but this is the first annual Turkey Trot in Monroe, WI.  Sponsored by the University Alumni Association-Green County Chapter, all proceeds are returned to Green County through scholarships to graduating high school seniors enrolled at the University Wisconsin.

Start out your Thanksgiving with your family by signing up for 5k race, 2 mile walk, or sign your child for the kids run.  The race routes begin and end at the Green County Fairgrounds and wind through the streets of Monroe.  The average American will consume upwards of 4,500 calories on Thanksgiving, so why not burn off a few, while supporting area youth.
