Event Description

Cycle the scenic back roads of picturesque Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Dorchester County, MD.  Choice of 3 FLAT routes: 37 miles, the famous 56-mile Ironman Eagleman course or our beautiful 100-mile century course that takes you through quaint townships along the Chesapeake Bay and back through serene woodlands.  Begin your day at Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh for a complimentary fresco breakfast on the shores of the scenic Choptank River.  Our show-n-go start allows you the option of having a daybreak start or another cup of coffee.  Along the course are fully stocked rest stops crewed by friendly and helpful volunteers. Upon your return, you are treated to a picnic in the park and a chance to tell your ride’s story to old and new friends!  All this is just for you!  Specially designed tee shirts “made in MD” for the first 1,000 to register.    Proceeds benefit Character Counts Mid Shore's character education programs that reach over 8,200 students at NO cost to the schools or taxpayers.  Join us and help support our youth programs creating tomorrow’s leaders, today!

 

 

 

Event details and schedule

Registration and bib number/map pickup - Friday, May 1st from 3 PM to 6 PM and on Saturday, May 2nd starting at 6 AM at the Dorchester County YMCA; 201 Talbot Avenue, Cambridge, MD.

Parking map on website - www.6pillarscentury.org - NO vehicles will be allowed in the park on Saturday, May 2.

Show-n-go start at 7 AM for 37-mile/56-mile and 100-mile cyclists.  Please review rest stop open/close times on cue sheets.  Breakfast from 6 to 9:00.  Picnic in the park begins at 11:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM.

SAG support ends promptly at 4 PM.
