Event Description
Saturday, October the 26th Annual IronBruin Triathlon will be cohosted by the UCLA Triathlon Team & California Triathlon. The 2019 fall event features a collegiate sprint triathlon at beautiful Sante Fe Dam in Irwindale, California. This race is part of Cal Tri Events Los Angeles. Friday night many of our participating teams will take advantage of the group camping area and festival atmosphere.
The collegiate sprint is part of the West Coast Collegiate Triathlon Conference (WCCTC) race series and we expect athletes, alumni and friends of the program from the following colleges: Arizona State University, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Cal State University, Sacramento, San Diego State University, San Francisco State, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, UCSB, University of Arizona, University of California, San Diego, University of Colorado Boulder and University of Southern California.

5:00 am - Santa Fe Dam Recreational Park Opens - $10 Fee (Lot 2 or Lot 3)
5:10 am - Athlete Check-In Opens + Transition Opens
6:40 am - Athlete Check-In Closes
6:40 am - Vehicle traffic can no longer exit/enter Santa Fe Dam
6:45 am - Transition Area Closes (70.3 Mile)
6:50 am - Course Briefing At Swim Start (70.3 Mile)
6:55 am - Swim Warm-Up (70.3 Mile)
6:58 am - The Star-Spangled Banner/National Anthem
7:00 am - 70.3 Mile Distance (Rolling Swim Start)
7:30 am - Transition Area Closes (Sprint)

7:40 am - Swim Warm-Up (Sprint)
7:45 am - Sprint Distance (Rolling Swim Start)

11:20 am - All participants must start the final lap of the bike course
12:00 pm - Bike Cutoff - All participants must complete the bike course and be in transition
12:00 pm - Vehicle traffic can exit/enter Santa Fe Dam
1:00 pm - Awards Ceremony [70.3 mile distance]
2:00 pm - Race Ends - All athletes must cross the finish line

About The UCLA Triathlon Team. The UCLA Triathlon Team is a student-run organization and an official club sport of the UCLA Recreation Department. In addition to a structured coached program for students, UCLA Triathlon also provides coaching and a team atmosphere for staff, faculty, alumni, and community members.
