Event Description

Thank you for your interest in Kappa Delta’s Shamrock ‘N’ Run 5K! This is the Beta Chi chapter’s 27th annual run benefiting the Durham Center for Child and Family Health and Prevent Child Abuse America.

This year, the event will be held on Saturday February 29, 2020. Beginning at 9 a.m., the race will wind through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s beautiful campus and end at Graham Memorial Hall. Following the race, there will be post-race snacks for runners and an awards ceremony at the Kappa Delta house at 219 E Franklin Street.

All participants will receive a t-shirt and a runner bag. If you do not care to run, please feel free to purchase a t-shirt through the link provided without registering for the race. 

Shamrock has become a celebrated Chapel Hill community tradition, that brings together students, alumni, families and community members. We are excited to host this event for its 27th year to work towards benefitting the lives of children in the area and around the country. Last year, our chapter raised $56,000 for the prevention of child abuse, and with your help, we hope to surpass that goal for the event's 27th annual celebration.
