Event Description

Please join us for our annual autism awareness 5k. It is a day of celebration... A celebration of the greatness of autism! In addition to our 5k, we offer many FREE activities for the whole family! We will have a petting zoo, face painting, balloon twisting, bounce houses, games with prizes and so much more! We have many vendors that join us for the day, providing educational information and goods for sale. All proceeds go toward funding grants for local families graced by autism. We greatly appreciate your support!

*** Leashed dogs welcome on the run/walk course and in the fair park buildings***

Event details and schedule

Just thought it may be nice to have a generic breakdown of our upcoming day! I know my boys like predictability:)

9-10am- Registration. Some vendors are setting up their booths at this time, and our bake sale is up and running. Silent auctions and raffles are available to check out and bid on if interested.

10am- Run/Walk. This is a 3.1-mile walk/run with 3 loops of the fair park grounds(see below picture of route.) We have characters set up along the course for photo opportunities and for people to hug and squeeze:)

10:30/11:00- Most people are done with the run/walk by 11am. We have post-run refreshments free to all participants within the walk/run. We have a bunch of FREE activities for families and kids to take advantage of!! Vendors are all set up and ready to answer questions, and if they have merchandise, it will be available for sale as well. We also have Cousins Subs available for purchase.

You are welcome to stay as long as you'd like, but things wrap up around 1:30/2:00. If you are a raffle prize or silent auction winner, we will contact you after the event, and make arrangements to get your prizes to you. You need not be present to win!

I want to mention that you are welcome to bring leashed dogs if you have one:) Dogs are allowed on the course and in the building. I am sorry to say that scooters, bikes, roller skates and roller blades are not allowed on the course. Strollers, wheelchairs and wagons are welcome!!

Reach out if you have any questions! Nikki Busalacchi (262)353-2335
