Event Description

The Reindeer Run 5K "Fun" Run/Walk begins and ends at Mitchell Park and travels along the Railroad Recreation Trail. The course takes several turns; watch for signs/markers indicating the correct direction. Stick around after the run/walk for a special Breakfast with Santa! All Reindeer Run 5K participants receive a breakfast ticket with registration. Children in strollers are FREE!

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Enjoy Breakfast with Santa after participating in the Reindeer Run 5K Run/Walk. Each Reindeer Run participant receives a ticket. Additional Breakfast with Santa tickets may be purchased at the door for $5.

Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County

This year we are partnered with the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County.  A portion of the event's proceeds will be donated to this organization that serve's over 44,000 residents in SLO County that are at risk of being hungry or food insecure.

Event details and schedule

CHECK IN
Check-in begins at 7 a.m. RUN STARTS at 8 a.m. Participants pick up event T-shirt and Breakfast with Santa ticket at Check-In.

EARLY-REGISTRATION
Early-registration is $15 (plus processing fee) and includes Breakfast with Santa ticket and event T-shirt.

PRE-REGISTRATION
Pre-registration is $20 (plus processign fee) and includes Breakfast with Santa ticket and event T-shirt.

DAY-OF REGISTRATION
Participants may register on race day starting at 7 a.m. for $25 and includes Breakfast with Santa ticket and event T-shirt (size not guaranteed).

RULES
• Stay on sidewalks when on City streets
• Obey all traffic rules
• Race numbers must be worn on the front of the participant’s shirt
• Strollers welcome
• No iPods/mp3 players
• No dogs allowed
• If for any reason you do not finish, please notify the finish-line staff as soon as possible
• Holiday-themed costumes encouraged!

RESULTS
There will be an Awards Ceremony at 9 a.m. 
Prizes Awarded:
• Best/Most Festive Costume
• Most Spirited Group Team

PARKING
Mitchell Park is located in a residential area with metered and limited parking. It is suggested that participants utilize the Marsh Street parking structure at 871 Marsh Street. Participants may enter the structure before it officially opens at 8 a.m. The first hour is free; $0.75/hour thereafter.

FOOD BANK COALITION OF SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY

The Food Bank Coalition will have a booth present at this year's event.  If you and your family would like to further support this wonderful organization, please feel free to bring monetary or canned/box food donations.
