The Prettiest Race in Texas Half Marathon is set in the heart of the Texas Hill Country and runs along the scenic Guadalupe River on River Road passing beautiful campsites, canyons and cliffs offering spectacular river views that make this course deserving of the name, The Prettiest Race in Texas.
The Half Marathon starts at the Summit Campsite and is a point to point run with gently rolling hills, and the 5K is a fast yet challenging loop course. The 5k starts at Rockin R River Rides. Both events finish at Rockin R in New Braunfels, right across the river from historic Gruene, Texas and centrally located between Austin, San Antonio and New Braunfels . A great place to spend the afternoon after the finish.
2020 will be the 11th Annual running of the Prettiest Race in Texas and continues to benefit Chosen.
Half Marathon start time is 7:30am. Please note the start is a 30 minute drive from Rockin R in New Braunfels.
Half Marathoners will be shuttled from Rockin' R in Gruene to the start line at The Summit (a 30 minute ride). The bused runners will begin boarding buses at 6:00am with the last bus leaving at 6:45am. Buses will leave for the start as they are filled.
Runners can choose to make their own transportation arrangements for drop off at the Rio Guadalupe Resort (14130 River Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78132). The Rio Guadalupe dropped-off runners will take a short 1-mile shuttle ride to The Summit. THERE IS NO DROP OFF AT THE SUMMIT and NO PARKING at either The Summit or Rio Guadalupe.
Runners must be at least 12 years old to run the half marathon.
Runners will receive a personalized race bib if registered by the bib order date, the official 2020 Prettiest Race in Texas Half Marathon technical shirt, and the official 2020 Prettiest Race in Texas Half Marathon finisher medal as well as ice cold beer at the finish.
Please note due to insurance restrictions, no dogs are allowed on the course.
