IX ANNUAL MONSTER CROSS!
Monster Cross offers a 25 and 50 mile race/ride.
The course supports cross or mountain bikes. Awards given in over a dozen divisions.
Here is what you will receive for your entry:
Race: Chip timed race: either the 50 or 25 mile distance
Event Swag: TBD
Post Race Grub: Post race event meal ticket!
Beer sales fundraiser: Friends of Pocahontas State Park will be selling beer at the finish to raise money to build and maintain the trails at Pocahontas.

50 or 25 miles on rolling fire roads and double track.
On all pre-rides: Please do not ride on any trails that states no bikes! We have approval to use two short segments race day only.
We will offer two aid stations.
Pro/Expert Division: First 3 men and women to cross the line who have entered the pro/elite Division) will take home the following including a free entry into the 2020 race! (Prize money guaranteed with 400+ racers.)
1st $400 + comp entry into MX 2020
2nd $250 + comp entry into MX 2020
3rd $100 + comp entry into MX 2020
1st-8th will be comped into MX 2020
First place of each division will receive free entry into the following year's Monster Cross!
1st-6th place in each category will receive awards unless noted below.
Junior 19 and under (Top three overall M/F)
Unicycle (Top 3)
Mini Monster (Top three overall M/F)
*Single speed is a combined gender division. There are prizes for CX and XC divisions, but not by gender.
Race is rain or shine (if there is snow that would prevent racing the event will be moved 2 weeks. We will make this call by the end of the day the Wednesday of race week)!
There may be cases of "acts of god" where whether, political situations or other where we may have to move the date of the event.
Entries can transferred or deferred. There is no fee for swapping if request is made by Monday of race week.
Transfers: Once shirts are ordered you will have to accept the shirt size that was ordered by the original racer.
Team Tent Space: If you have 5 or more racers from your team (and you has a team 10x10 pop-up tent, let us know and we will reserve space for your set up at the start/finish area. Email the me at firstname.lastname@example.org for space. There is limited space so, this is first come first served.
