Event Description

***2020 Charlottesville Ten Miler has been CANCELLED due to COVID19*****

After lengthy and serious discussions with our Race Committee, we have come to the safe and prudent decision, due to the COVID19 virus, to cancel the 2020 Charlottesville 10 Miler on March 28th.  We understand that this decision will be met with some disappointment, as all of you have trained for and were looking forward to participating in this special event.  We too, as a committee, were very much looking forward to hosting each of you this year.  However, the risks far outweigh this.

We wanted to get this message to you as soon as possible, but details of how we will handle the financial ramifications of cancelling the race will be forthcoming.  We ask for your patience and will let you know as soon as we have details on this.

We thank you for understanding this situation and appreciate your continued support of this community race.

Safe running,

Nicole Brimer
Race Director

Established 1976, the Charlottesville Ten Miler is the area's oldest & most prestigious footrace. This wonderful race traverses some of the most beautiful scenery of Charlottesville, including the dogwood-lined streets of the University of Virginia's Grounds and surrounding neighborhoods, and the brick-paved paths of the Downtown Mall, Court Square and 'the Corner'. This not-for-profit race has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities over the past 40 years.
