Event Description
This is our first ever Battle Buddy Fun Run at Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) here in Coos Bay, OR. We are honoring Veterans, Military, and all First Responders with this fun obstacle course style fun run. This run will give you a small taste of some of things individuals in these organizations might endure on any given day. You will be required to push yourself and your team to complete several obstacles. It will require endurance, team work, agility, and willingness to have a good time. The completion of this event will be up to YOU and YOUR TEAM! So find your BATTLE BUDDY and build your team to show your support to our local hero's.
We are raising money to create a scholarship foundation for Veterans and/or their dependents, help support veteran based programs like Operation Rebuild Hope and Bryan's Home, allow the veterans club to build moral with other activites, and show appreciate to other campus clubs that help put this event on.

Event starts at 9:00 am -- registration & check-in begins at 8:30 am. Please have ID
All team members need to be present at check-in.
Parking-Please limit parking to parking lots 2 & 3 near the rear of campus.
Waivers MUST be signed by EACH individual before participating in our event.
It might be a good idea to have an extra change of clothing/shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses and be preparred for cold/wet weather (it's April in Oregon so who knows what to expect).
What to wear-TENNIS SHOES ONLY!! Clothing that is appropriate for running and you're ok with getting dirty. Layers! Again it's Oregon in April, who knows that to expect.
What NOT to wear- NO COMBAT BOOTS/OTHER BOOTS please!!!! We will be utilizing more than just the ground. We would appreciate if you respected our facilities by wearing tennis shoes.
