Event Description

The Greater Tampa Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is proud to host our inaugural race: "Tutus & Tennis Shoes: Elevating ALL Children". 

This 5K Run and 1 mile Fun Walk/Run will be held at the historic Perry Harvey Sr. Park in Tampa, FL on Saturday February 29, 2020.  

The event will promote healthy living for families and children in the Tampa Bay community. In addition to the run/walk, we will have a Health Fair with vendor booths to conduct screenings and provide educational information. There will be family-centered events including music, entertainment, and a fun run just for the kids! Following the race is a Black History Month Celebration highlighting the African-American history of Tampa Bay.  

A portion of the proceeds from the run will benefit the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, the national organization's philanthropic arm. The Foundation donates to national non-profit partners and also awards grants to chapters of Jack and Jill to fund local efforts. The remaining proceeds will be directly donated to Tampa-based charitable organizations that serve children and families. 

Please join us for this wholesome community event and support the efforts of the Greater Tampa Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc in providing ALL children with the opportunities and advantages we desire for our children. It is essential that all of the children in the Tampa Bay community have the opportunity to succeed!
