The beneficiary of this year’s race is Kayden’s Bravehearts. Kayden’s Bravehearts is committed to supporting congenital heart disease. According to their foundation, “With all the advancements in medical treatment more children with complex congenital heart disease are living into adulthood. But that doesn’t mean they’re no longer facing symptoms and complications. The mission of the Adult Congenital Heart Association is to improve and extend the lives of the millions born with heart defects through education, advocacy and research.
This is done through a wide and growing range of programs, services and activities. They are committed to promoting excellence for every adult CHD patient by increasing access to the highest level of care and developing standards to allow patients and families to identify physicians and facilities providing that care.”
