Event Description

The 18th Annual Autism Society Central Virginia 5K & Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Stony Point Fashion Park.  This family-friendly event will include on-stage entertainment, a kids zone and fun run, a Resource Fair, food vendors, a competitive 5K, and more!

Register your team today, fundraise together, and join us for this fun and inspiring day as we honor and support our local autism community.  Our goal is to raise $180,000 in honor of our 18th Anniversary year.

The Autism Society Central Virginia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to be the region’s premier source of education, advocacy, and support for individuals with autism, their families, and professionals. Autism is a developmental disability that occurs in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. Many individuals with autism have significant social, communication, and behavioral challenges. The prevalence rate of autism continues to rise, and currently the CDC estimates that an average of 1 in 59 children in the US has autism. 

The ASCV serves as the local voice and resource for the Central Virginia autism community. Funds raised from the ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day will provide much needed support, resources, and programs for local families living with autism. The funds raised here, stay here!
