Annual 2020 Sickle Cell Road Race/Walk!
The Sickle Cell Road Race/Walk is an RRCA-certified State Championship race -- a major attraction for runners! The race is foremost a charitable event, with proceeds supporting the nonprofit mission and programs of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. SCFG serves people affected by sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait -- both are genetic blood disorders.
Participants will run the challenging 7k (4.3 miles) course or walk the comfortable 4k (2.5 miles) course down Main Street and through East Point‘s diverse communities. While in town, everyone will get a glimpse of the New City Hall and downtown growth, convenient transit, neighborhood charm, hospitality, and robust businesses like yours, which the City of East Point offers. The 7k run is chip timed, the course is certified, and it's a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Rain or Shine our event will go on!
Everyone wins at the Sickle Cell Road Race/Walk! Race and walk winners are presented customized, category awards and all participants earn a coveted race t-shirt. Sponsors receive an opportunity to showcase their products and services at one of the oldest and most family-friendly “cause” events in the East Point, South Fulton, and Metro Atlanta areas.
All race proceeds support the mission of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. and its programs to serve our patients afflicted with sickle cell disease.
T-shirts are not guaranteed for persons who register on Race Day.

AFTER ONLINE REGISTRATION YOU CAN STILL REGISTER AT SICKLE CELL FOUNDATION OF GEORGIA, INC. OFFICES OR ON RACE DAY.
ON-SITE REGISTRATION OPENS AT 7 AM

PACKET PICK-UP
Packet pick-up will be available Monday, April 6th through Friday, April 9th from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. offices, 2391 Benjamin E. Mays Dr. SW, Atlanta, GA 30311.
PARKING
FREE PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN SEVERAL LOTS NEAR OUR RACE VENUE. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE VIA THE EAST POINT MARTA STATION. DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF A TICKET.

7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. – Registration On-Site
8:15 a.m. - Aerobic warm-up
9:00 a.m. - 7K Run/4Walk begins
10:00 a.m. - Awards Ceremony
