Event Description

March 20 update: We are continuing to monitor the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and will adhere to all recommendations given by the County of Santa Clara and its Health Service Agency. The CDC has recommended a cancellation or postponement of all mass gathering events greater than 50 people for the next 8 weeks, beginning March 15 until May 10. We realize this may be extended beyond that date, but we are hopeful that things will improve so that we are allowed to hold our event on May 31. Please check back for updates throughout April. Stay well and be safe.

The 12th Annual Jenny's Light 5k, 10k and Kids 1k Run
 
Jenny’s Light is a non-profit foundation whose mission is to improve & save lives by increasing awareness of all perinatal mood disorders, including postpartum depression. We are merging our efforts and fundraising with Bay Area based Supporting Mamas. They provide information, resources, support & hope to families coping with postpartum mood disorders.   
 
* MAY is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month *

DATE: Sunday May 31, 2020, ~ Rain or shine!
DISTANCE: 5k & 10k courses & 1k kids run
LOCATION: Vasona Park, along the Los Gatos Creek Trail

**Parking inside the gates of Vasona is $6 and the lots fill up pretty quickly so plan to arrive early (gate & registration opens at 7:30 am). There is also parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Vasona. Carpooling is recommended! 

RACE SCHEDULE: Race registration and packet pick-up begins 7:30 am. 

1k start                                 8:40 am                                            
10k start                               9:00 am
5k start                                 9:03 am
5k /10k strollers 9:15 am (*New separate wave)

5K- $30 before Mar 1, $35 before May 31, $40 race day
10K - $35 before Mar 1, $40 before May 31, $45 race day
KIDS 1K…ages 1-12, $15 before May 31, $20 race day

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 9am on FRI MAY 29! 

**You can also register in person on Sat May 30 (location/time TBD) OR at the race site on Sun May 31, but early registration is recommended. 

AWARDS: 5k/10k top finishers in age groups (9&u, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) + overall baby joggers. 1k (4&u, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10)
