Event Description

Join the 2020 staging of this fun, classic San Diego event--now in its 36th year! Enjoy an early-morning ocean swim along La Jolla Shores beach followed by a 10K or 5K run on flat-packed sand at water line. Participants can enter as an individual or as a relay team. Race features finisher's medals, t-shirts, awards and great refreshments provided by Jyoti-Bihanga restaurant. We welcome participants of all ages and abilities--come challenge yourself, have fun, and enjoy the natural beauty of La Jolla Shores beach.

Event details and schedule

All staging takes place at La Jolla Shores beach. There is plenty of free parking in the early morning. Check-in opens at 6:00 a.m. and must be completed by 7:00 a.m. Race begins at 7:30 a.m. (athletes will walk together to swim start). Day-of-race entries are available from 6:00 to 6:50 a.m.
