SPECIAL NOTE FROM RACE DIRECTOR

Today I was notified by the City of Hampton that the PTC - Joe & Sue Moore Memorial Scholarship 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run must be CANCELED out of concern for our runners, volunteers, spectators, and community.

Believe me I am just as sad as you are.  But we must be safe, and it does make sense.

What we plan to do is have you Run Virtually and send us your race time.  We will collect all the entries and have a designated place and time where you can pick up your shirt and your award medal (if you placed overall or within your age category).

This is really the best option because the scholarship must go on. There are students in the PTC that have been waiting until they were seniors to apply for this.

All the door prizes collected for this year will be saved for next year. It just means we will have even more to give away next year!

What you need to do:

Before April 30th

Run Virtually and complete 3.1 miles and time yourself

Email us:
•  Your 5K time
•  City, State
•  Age you were on 3/28/2020 to Scholarship5KResults@hotmail.com

We will collect all emails and determine the winners and post them online and in the PTC Newsletter

We will set up a few different times where you can pick up your T-Shirt and your award medal (if you placed). Even if you don’t plan to run virtually and send us your time, please come and pick up your T-shirt!
