Event Description
The Jailbreak is making its 9th trip to South Padre Island, bringing their challenging 5k over 20 crazy obstacles back to Claytons Beach Bar for a huge island bash! If you’ve never done a Jailbreak, then it’s time for you to put your big kid pants on and show what you’re made of! May 4th, 2019.
SPECIAL NOTE:
The Jailbreak will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason, other than military deployment (with proof of paperwork). In the event that weather creates an unsafe environment for participants, Jailbreak Race Events will postpone the event for a few hours or up to a few weeks, if you are unable to run during the new time you will be eligible to transfer your registration to another Jailbreak event but will not be eligible for a refund.
Jailbreak Racing Events takes great pride in assuring the safety and integrity of the Jailbreak Race. Qualified Emergency workers are stationed throughout the race course to insure the safety of every contestant. The course design and obstacle engineering is completed with racer safety as the paramount goal. Be safe, Get dirty, Have Fun, Do good!

What is the Jailbreak?
The Jailbreak is an off the grid adventure run covering 3.1 miles over 16-20 sandy, wet, fun obstacles.
What do I need to bring?
Change of clothes if you desire. $$ for additional food, beverage and swag.
Who can do this?
Anyone over the age of 14. You don’t have to be a highly skilled athlete to participate and will have the option of going around any obstacle you do not feel comfortable doing. Visit Dirty Rascals for information regarding kid’s courses.
Where will Jailbreak be held?
The event starts and finishes on SPI Beach
Where do I park?
There will be onsite parking for participants.
What do I do with my stuff during the race?
There will be a bag check area onsite.
Can I sign up as a team?
Yes, you can sign up as a 2 or 4 person team at a discounted rate.
What do I get?
Participants receive a medal, t-shirt and one beer (for participants over 21).
