Event Description

The annual Twin Lakes Triathlon has taken place at the beginning of August since 2006.  The natural lake provides a perfect setting for a sprint triathlon and duathlon.  Past participants love the event because it is scenic and flat, has plenty of good food, and has tons of helpful volunteers.  Our lake community loves and supports this race.

The event is hosted by and supports the ongoing work of Twin Lakes Bible Camp.

Event details and schedule

Packet pick-up starts on Friday, August 7, from 6-8 at the Twin Lakes Bible Camp on the west side of Twin Lakes.  Make sure you bring a photo ID. You may also wait and pick up your packet on Saturday, August 8, starting at 6 a.m. at Twin Lakes Big East State Park.

Twin Lakes Triathlon and Duathlon check-in begins at 6 a.m. on August 8, at Twin Lakes Big East State Park, near the transition area.  After checking in, getting marked, and getting your chip, participants may enter the transition area to set up equipment. Participants must retrieve all equipment from the transition area following the race. Security personnel will monitor the transition area from 6 a.m. until all equipment has been claimed. Only numbered athletes will be allowed to enter the transition area.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 7:15 a.m. at Twin Lakes State Park, with the Twin Lakes Triathlon and Duathlon beginning immediately following. The first wave of Triathlon swimmers and Duathlon runners will begin at 7:30 a.m.

Following the competition, all participants are invited to eat at the Bible Camp.  The awards ceremony will be held approximately 20 minutes after the last participant crosses the finish line.
