From the 5 southbound, exit Los Feliz (west) and make a right on Riverside. This is the entrance to the park. Keep going for about 1 mile and make a right to the Pote Baseball Field Area (just before the Ranger Station and Merry Go Round.)  Drive to the far end of the loop, at the Pettigrew Area of the Crystal Springs Picnic Area.  It's the furthest south you can go in the loop--and you'll see/hear the event as you drive the loop.
