Event Description

The Austin Taylor Challenge is an annual Ultra Marathon Trail Run in Georgia that raises money and awareness to help find a cure for childhood cancer. Austin Taylor was a warrior who had more of an impact on the people that he met in his 9 short years, than most can hope for in 90 years. His inspiration started with one race, and now has become a legacy for us to continue as we ask others to accept the Challenge, and help us find a cure for childhood cancer. The Austin Taylor Challenge race is held at the historic Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, GA. The race follows the park's "Blue Trail", which is a 6.3 mile loop consisting of mostly single and double track trails. You will be running on the same trails used for the 1996 Olympic Equestrian and Mountain Bike events. The start and finish is the giant midfield across the street from the Hawthorne Inn and Suites Hotel. We will have a well stocked aid station, music, and an area for drop bags in the midfield. The ATC race is an "all you can run" event that starts at 8 am and ends at 4:00 pm sharp - each loop is just over a 10k at 6.3 miles. All runners that complete 5 loops (50K) will receive a medal. In addition, there is a 5k race that starts and ends at in the midfield - start time 8:30 am for the 5k.
