Event Description

The ninth Annual Backdraft Bike Tour is set for Sunday, June 7th, 2019!  The 10 mile route takes you on the Trestle Bridge pedestrian path as well as the newly completed Loop the Lake trail!  You will go over three scenic bridges that take you around the south end of Lake Butte des Mortis.  The four longer routes take you to the scenic countryside north and east of Lake Winnebago.  You will travel along the rural roads that Wisconsin is famous for.  All rest stops will be at local fire stations or will have a fire truck on site to check out!  Choose from 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mile distances.  Each rider will receive a goody bag, fully stocked rest stops, SAG service and a great meal at the end.  Those registering before May 17th, 2020 will receive a dry wick t-shirt and the first 300 will receive a free water bottle!  The tour is open to the public and all ages and abilities are welcome!  This is a rain or shine event.

Event details and schedule

The tour begins and ends at Clovis Grove Elementary School in the City of Menasha.  This is a new start finish area for us that will offer a larger venue with improved facilities.   Recommended start times are as follows: 75 and 100 milers 7:00 a.m., 50 milers 8:00a.m. and the 10 and 25 milers 9:00 a.m.  The tour is at your own pace and not timed.  Packet pickup will start at 6:30 a.m. and is only available day of the event.  Rest stop closure times will be noted on the route cue sheet.  Helmets are required.  A wrist band will be in your goody bag that will allow you into the rest areas and entry to the lunch at the end.  This is not a closed course.  Parking is free.   Day of registration is available and starts at 6:30 a.m.
