Our 2020 map is darker than last year and now follows our paved pathway at Merrill Park. Our 1 mile obstacle course fun run is perfect for all fitness levels! This run features a live DJ, glow-sticks, beer, and prizes for our "Who Shines the Brightest" costume contest! Pre-registration, IDs, and flashlights required!

Things to do before race day
Bring your ID and Credit Card. No matter your age, IDs will be required as you sign in for the race.Food and beer will be available for purchase. Credit, debit and cash are accepted by our vendors.
Decide what to wear. The weather in April can be unpredictable. Make sure to dress weather appropriate and bundle up if necessary. Regarding your clothing- please come wearing neon or glowing clothing. Racers will not be allowed to race in dark clothing due to it becoming a race hazard in the dark.
What to bring: Recommended items include: an empty water bottle, photo ID, credit card, comfortable running shoes, glow sticks/ headlights/ flashlights, and a light coat. Backpacks, outside food, beverages, and coolers are not allowed into the event.
Parking is free of charge but is very limited. The parking lot at Merrill Park will only be available for Uber, Lyft, and disabled drivers. Parking will be available in the lots surrounding Merrill Park as indicated by the map below. Please do not park in front of road entrances.
Checking in on race day
Runners must go to the sign in table at the venue to get merch and a wristband. You will not be able to purchase drinks or participate in the run without a wristband.
- ID & Waiver: You need to bring a photo ID to verify your age, but you DO not need to bring a copy of your signed waiver. All people need their ID regardless of age or appearance, you will be turned away without one.
- Beer Wristbands: All racers will get one wristband to verify your ID. These will be given to you during sign in at the event. An additional wristband will be given from our beer vendor after they have checked your ID.
- Free merchandise: That’s right! You get free stuff just for attending. We change our giveaways and prizes every year. Please make sure to check in with our sign in table to receive your free gifts.
Bags: Backpacks of any kind are not allowed at our event.
Water Bottles: We have plenty of water throughout our event. Please bring an EMPTY water bottle. We will ask you to dump them out before entering.
Eagle Parks and Recreation, the City of Eagle, and all event sponsors are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property.
Same Day Registration
We ask that you please plan ahead and take advantage of our discounts with online registration. Tickets will not be available at the door.
Rain may be in the forecast and though we're hoping to get some of that rain before race day to help clear the air, we're also hoping for it to be dry and pleasant the evening of the run. In any event, the run will be held rain or shine! In the event of any of the following, the race will be canceled: severe weather storms, severe lightning showers, flooding affects transportation, or the governor declares a weather emergency and asks people to stay off the roads. In the event of inclement weather cancelation tickets will not be refunded. We apologize for the inconvenience.
1 Mile Course Details
Our fun filled one-mile course is packed with adventure. The one-mile distance will be marked on our sidewalks with arrows and will continue counter-clockwise from the race entrance in the picture. We highly recommend the use of a flashlight on the pathway. See map in photos below.
Race Entrance: A narrow shoot is where all of our runners will line up to begin our fun run.
Obstacle Course: A dark 30 ft long inflatable obstacle course that require some dodging skills.
Glow Tunnel: This glowing tunnel is an Instagram worthy glowing experience.
The Dodge Zone: Run in, out, and around glowing obstacles.
Glowing Tires: A tire field will require some quick feet, they will all be glowing!
Slide: Climb over 18 feet in the air and slide down our glowing slide.
Glowing Foam: Our glowing foam area is a large glowing shoot filled with bubbles!
Drinking Water: Water station placed along the path with cups.
Timing & awards
Our fun run will not be timed this year due to the overall experience of the event relying on the “obstacle course” style run. Please come dressed up for our dress-up competition to get entered to win some amazing prizes.
Awards will be given to the following categories for our “Who Shines the Brightest” competition:

Prize: One pair of shoes from the Pulse Running and Fitness Shop

Social Media: If you cannot stick around until 11:00 pm- you have a second chance to be entered! Simply take a picture of your outfits and post it to your Facebook or Instagram using #glowintheparkeagle and #eagleparksandrecreation. We will not be able to see your posts if you do not tag them. Social media winner will be announced the following week.
Prize: One free class or camp with Eagle Parks and Recreation valued up to $50.
