Event Description
Join us for our 8th Annual Lightning Bolt 5K, Fun Run and Little Bolt Race at Malcom Bridge Middle School in Bogart, GA.
The start/finish will be located on the football field. The 5K course is mostly flat on paved roads. The mile fun run/walk and “Little Bolt” race will be held on the football and practice fields.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 7AM
Little Bolt Race: Starts at 8:15AM
1 Mile Fun Run: Starts at 8:30AM
5K: Starts at 9AM
Awards: Awards will be presented to all participants in the “Little Bolt” race. The top three boys and top three girls who finish the 1 mile race will be given awards in the age groups of 10 & under and 11-14. The 5K awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners as well as the top three finishers in 5-year age groups ranging from 10 & under through 75 & over.
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, and www.athlinks.com.
Shirts and Goodies: Registrations received by 3/6/20 are guaranteed a long sleeved shirt. Those registering after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments.
Race Dedication: Each year, MBMS dedicates the 5K to a person or to an organization that has positively impacted either our community or people in need. Ten percent of the proceeds from the race will be given to this selected person or organization. This year the race will be dedicated to the Oconee Area Resource Council Food for Kids Program..
Series Affiliation: The 5K race is part of the 2020 Black Bag Race Series.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
