Event Description

People born in the Year of the Rooster are talkative, outspoken and happiest when they are surrounded by others whether at a race or a party. They enjoy the spotlight and strive for a good 5k time at the Year of the Rooster.

Beautiful Papago Park, Ramadas 9 & 10 have been exclusively reserved for this traditional event. Galvin Parkway between McDowell and Van Buren. Parking is available at the NE Corner of the Phoenix Zoo parking lot. It is a short walk to Ramadas 9 & 10 for Packet Pick-up and Late Registration.

Event details and schedule

8:00 am Late Registration and number/chip pickup.

9:00 am Run Start,  9:01 Walk Start

9:45 am Free kids 100 yd Dash.

COURSE: Rolling hills, some canal bank and occasional wildlife views.. Because of the canal bank, course may not be wheelchair accessible.

Entry fee includes T-Shirt, refreshments & prize drawings.

5K RUN AWARDS:

Medals to the first 3 Male & Female finishers in the following age divisions.

12 & under, 13 - 19, 20 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55- 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70 - 74, 75 - 79, 80 - 89, 90 +

5K WALK AWARDS:

Medals to the first 3 Male & Female finishers in the following age divisions.
