We encourage you to join or create a team and invite friends to join your team. Funds you raise together through registration and sponsorships will support healthy foods and gardens in Chimacum, Port Townsend, and Emburis schools.
Students and teachers of Emburis School in Tanzania are also creating a team and running a 5K the same day, though 10 hours ahead of us. You are very welcome to sponsor their team. Emburis School Team funds will go directly to combatting a food crisis right now after drought, followed by devastating rains, ruined school crops this past season.
Teams may be made up of clubs, businesses, groups of friends, church congregations, sports teams, book clubs, any group you can dream up is welcome to register and participate. Register a team, then recruit team members and sponsors of your team.
A friendly competition will celebrate winning fundraising teams and first finishers in an awards ceremony after the 5K at Finnriver Cidery, ending site of the event.
