Event Description
The NatureTrack at NTFF 2020 - It's still a day in the country! 5K Run winds through the quaint downtown, charming neighborhoods, and quiet countryside of Los Olivos, California. As you run, in addition to the beautiful views, you'll enjoy knowing that your race registration is supporting NatureTrack Foundation, an organization dedicated to fostering a lifelong fascination with nature through outdoor field trips for school-aged children.
Led by fun-loving, knowledgeable docents, each NatureTrack field trip allows children to explore, create, learn about, enjoy, and sometimes visit for the first time, a natural treasure in "their backyard." NatureTrack enhances a child's education and brings to life the history, ecology, biology, beauty, importance, and wonders of our natural environment.
Due to COVID-19, Los Olivos' Day in the Country Festival was canceled, and that is why we change the date of the 5K and Fun Run to coincide with the 2020 NatureTrack Film Festival. So, after the race, you can enjoy Los Olivos' most highly acclaimed film festival of the year. This year's festival will screen 76 nature-centric films from around the world. 7:30 am Late Registration & Packet Pick-Up
8:00 am 5K for Adult, Youth, and Dogs Begins (Runners/Walkers)
9:00 am One Mile Run/Walk for ALL Ages Begins (Strollers OK)
9:30 am Award Presentation
Course Information
This is a mostly flat, paved road-race with a few moderate hills and a bit of gravel in some sections. The route takes you through part of downtown Los Olivos, a few neighborhoods, and out into the countryside.
Arrival Information
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to race start time to check-in.
Parking Information
Parking available at St. Marks In-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 2901 Nojoqui Avenue, Los Olivos
Waivers and ID
Signed waivers are required for all race participants. Minors must have a parent or guardian signature on their waiver. (dogs excluded!)
What to Bring
Please bring a reusable water bottle. We will have water available at Registration.
