Event Description
The event will take place on Saturday, April 25th, 2020, at the beautiful Starkey Ranch District Park event lawn in Odessa, FL.
Get dressed up as your favorite superhero and join us for a chipped 5k or a 1mile fun run. At our races, the fun doesn't stop after your run. We encourage participants to enjoy the race after-party. The party activities will include food, raffles, costume contest, crafts, games, music, bounce house, and more. 100% of the race proceeds will go to BayStar Family Retreat. BayStar is a local non-profit that provides free, all-inclusive getaways for families who have a child battling pediatric cancer. Their mission is to provide rest, fun, and support for the entire family while they are in the fight of their life.

Dress up in your best superhero attire for a day of family fun.
The event will go on rain or shine.
Pre-race packet pickup locations- to be announced.
Day-of registration and packet pickup opens at 6:00 am
5K - Will be chip timed
Start Time: 9:00 am
Hydration Station on route with water.
1 Mile-Fun Run/ Survivor walk
Start Time: 8:20 am
Kids 0-3 walk or stroll for free.
All cancer survivors and those currently battling cancer encouraged to walk 1 mile event at no charge.
T shirts and medals only available to registered participants.
Awards:
Medals for all pre-registered 5k finishers. Prizes for for Top three 1 mile participants 12 years of age and under.
5K-First, Second, and Third Place Male and Female each age category.
For the safety and enjoyment of all the participants, we ask that people line up:*Competitive runners in the front * fun runners *walk/runners *walkers* strollers
After the race, there will be awards, raffles, food and entertainment for the whole family!
Proceeds from the race will go towards supporting the missions and work of Baystar Family Retreat: Baystar Family Retreat provides a faith-based, all-inclusive retreat for pediatric cancer patients and their families in the Tampa Bay area. With the goal to give families hope on which to stay strong during the battle with cancer, family retreats are designed to help families develop a local community network for support, information, resources, share experiences and fellowship.
