Event Description
The First Annual Clermont Freedom 5k and 1 mile will take place on July 4th in Downtown Clermont, Florida. We are closing down the streets and running through our beautiful town on a day that we celebrate our nation's freedom. Family and Friends will enjoy running or walking on this fantastic race course. Have fun while earning your custom medal and post race party! Yes, we mean post race party! Finishing at Suncreek Brewery means you can start your 4th of July festivities as soon as you finish!

Then stay around Clermont for the Red, White, And Boom Celebration in the evening at Waterfront Park.
Start Time: 5k - 7:30 AM 1 Mile - 7:35 AM
Packet Pick-up July 3rd 1 PM - 7 PM at Dash Sports (741 W Montrose St Clermont FL 34711) You may pick up race bibs for other participants.
Race Morning:
6:30 AM - Packet pick-up and Race Day Registration
7:30 AM - 5k Starts
7:35 AM - 1 Mile Starts
7:45 AM - Post Race Party Starts
Group Pricing : Bring your friends, co-workers or family members and create a team!! Teams of 4 or more will receive $5 off each participant. Upon creating the team, the first 3 registrants will pay full price, once the team minimum of 4 members has been reached, the previous 3 registrations will receive an automatic $5 refund. All registrations to the same team after that will already reflect the $5 discount. Male / Female / Coed
Event Transfers: Did you train a little more or a little less than you thought you would? You may log in to your runsignup.com account and transfer to a different distance or race. The only cost will be the difference between the race for which you signed up and the current price of the race you now want to do, plus the transaction fee. If you transfer down there will not be a refund. Event transfer deadline date is June 27, 2020 We will not field requests to transfer via email the week of the race.
Bib Gifting: Did something come up in life or an injury? We will miss you! But you are allowed to transfer your bib to another participant at no extra cost. Log in to your runsignup account and you can gift the registration to someone else at no extra cost. Yes, you can ask the person for the entry fee, but we don't have to know about it. The t-shirt size will remain the same as what you registered. Bib gifting deadline is June 18, 2020. We will not field requests to transfer via email the week of the race. If you still want to be a part of the day, we can always use more volunteers! Race Bandits or participants using other's bib is highly discouraged and puts the whole race in jeopardy. Please respect the race and your fellow racers and do not attempt to do this.

Awards: Awards will be given for top 3 overall Male and Female in the 1 Mile, 5k will give awards for top 3 in each 5 year age group. Awards will be available the day of the race at the awards ceremony immediately following the race.
