Event Description

Glenelg Country School’s Alumni Association invites you to participate in the 10th Annual Dragon Dash on the campus of Glenelg Country School. The event includes a cross-country 5k walk/run, as well as a 1-mile family walk.  Proceeds from the event fund two “Always a Dragon” awards, one a college scholarship for a graduating GCS senior and the other a tuition scholarship for a rising GCS ninth-grader.

Entry Fees:  5K Run and 1-Mile Walk

$30 Adults, $15 Students (participants age 18 and under); add $5 per registrant if registering after April 13, 2020

Race Course Description and Regulations

The cross-country course traverses the school’s 90-acre campus, taking participants from the six-lane competition track through open fields and wooded paths and back to the track for the finish. Please note: the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers, and pets are not allowed on the course. The 1-mile family walk follows our flat, open driveway and strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.

Amenities and Awards

The day will feature music and activities for the entire family! All entrants receive a Dragon Dash t-shirt (t-shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed). Prizes awarded to top finishers and all kids receive recognition for participation. Water and post-race snacks provided, and all participants are entered for chances to win one of many prizes.
