Event Description
The School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen and Mother Seton Academy invite everyone to participate in this year's VIRTUAL Cardinal Cup 5K Run and Family Fun 1-Mile Walk. You can participate any day of the weekend - Friday, April 23rd through Sunday, April 25th - wherever you are! Each year, the School of the Cathedral hosts the Cardinal Cup run and walk to support Mother Seton Academy (MSA). Net proceeds and 100% of sponsorship donations go directly to MSA. With more than 500 participants in 2019, the Cardinal Cup not only raised much-needed funds for Mother Seton Academy but created a sense of shared community and fellowship for everyone involved.
ENTRY FEES
$30 per individual (ages 15 and older)
$20 per individual (ages 14 and younger) - DISCOUNTED PRICE WILL BE APPLIED AT CHECKOUT
**T-shirt sizes and availability are only guaranteed through April 14th.
There are no refunds of entry given or transfers of entry permitted for this event.
RACE INFORMATION
AWARDS
Awards will be provided to the top three overall male and female finishers.
- First Place Male/Female $100 GC to CCR
- Second Place Male/Female $50 GC to CCR
- Third Place Male/Female $25 GC to CCR
SHIRTS
All registrants are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt if registered by Wednesday, April 14th.
HOW DOES A VIRTUAL RACE WORK?
If you’ve participated in a virtual race at any time last year you know the drill, but if not, it’s easy!
Sign Up to Participate
First step is registering and making it official! Click register now at the top of this page and select your distance to get signed up. During registration you can also opt-in to report your race results via text or email (we’ll explain more below).
Join a Group/Team
During the registration process you will have the option to start a group/team or join an already existing one. Let's see who can create the largest team!
Receive Your Race T-Shirt
MSA participants will receive their shirts at MSA. SCMOQ T-shirts will be available for pick up on April 16th. Any shirts not picked up will be mailed using the "shipping address" provided during the registration process. You will have an option to donate $5 during the registration process to help us offset the cost of shipping.
Print Your Digital Bib
We will be creating a "unique" race themed Digital Bib that you will be able to download and print and/or share on social media. Keep an eye out for pre-race email that will give instructions on how to access your "digital bib".
Run Your Race
You can run or walk your 5K (3.1 miles) or 1 mile anytime between April 23rd and April 25th, 2021 (11:59PM ET). You can run anywhere you like - your neighborhood, your favorite trail, your treadmill, or your local park.
Submit Results
After you run or walk your race you can submit their results through text or email (if opted in during the registration process), or directly on the runsignup.com results page. If you have questions about submitting results don't hesitate to reach out to us at events@charmcityrun.com. Results automatically update as times are submitted, so you can check the results to see how you stack up against the competition.
Send Us a Selfie/Share Your Pictures!
If you don’t take a picture did it even happen? We’d love to see your pre- and post-race pictures! You can post them during the result reporting process or directly to the RunSignup photo page.
BENEFICIARY
Mother Seton Academy (MSA) is a tuition-free independent Catholic middle school that serves low income families in Baltimore City. The School of the Cathedral created a relationship with MSA over 25 years ago as a way for the families of the school community to give back to low income families in Baltimore City. We are proud to continue this annual tradition with MSA!
