On March 4, 2017 the third “DGMF Freedom from Violence Walk & Run” will begin & end at South Pointe Elememtary School on 20th Street and Southern. Upon the completion of the walk/run we will host the “Stand Up For Right Block Party” where there will be live entertainment, food, information/vendor booths, speakers, a Bounce House, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, & Games. We encourage your participation and donations as this event is an opportunity to give back to the community and help in our efforts to "Steer youth from Violence to change a generation!" All proceeds benefit the DGMF E.M.P.L.O.Y. Program, Mothers of Murdered Children Programs, and House of  H.E.L.P.S. Community & Worship Center.

UPDATE: THIS IS A FREE EVENT! PLEASE REGISTER IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THIS CAUSE & OUR PROGRAMS, & RECEIVE A T-SHIRT! TIME OF WALK IS 9:00 A.M.

This Walk/Run for Freedom From Violence will begin at South Pointe Elementary School on 20th & Southern. We will from there walk or run East to 32nd Sreet, South to Baseline, West to 24th Street, North back to Southern, then West back to South Pointe Elementary at 20th Street & Southern where we will enjoy the festivities of our "Stand Up For Right" Block Party. Please arrive between 8 & 8:45 A.M. to Check-In & pick up your packets; the Walk/Run will begin at 9:00 A.M. Block Party follows the Walk @ 11:00. We will walk along sidewalks with police escort stopping traffic on our behalf. Bring anti-violence posters/signs (we will have approximately 30 signs), water bottles & anything else you believe you will need to walk approximately  miles. Dress cool and comfortable. There will be free water being delivered throughout the walk/run route. Medical personnel will be available in case of emergency along the route as well. We hope you will stay for the festivities as the purpose of this event is to bring the community together as a whole, and bring awareness & possible solutions regarding the violence that has stolen so many of our young peoples lives.There will be plenty of parking space at Hermosa Park so, bring family members friends and neighbors with you, and just enjoy the entertainment and our encouraging & uplifting speakers! Our organization has received a certificate of appreciation from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office and County Attorney Mr. Bill Montgomery will be present as a speaker as well as Phoenix Police, & FBI personnel. Come out and take advantage of this opportunity to speak with the County Attorney, and law enforcement, & sign the promise that you will stand up for right!
