COURSE & WEATHER
The Petrified Forest Park opens at 7:00am, any family or friends that are coming to watch will need to pay the Park entrance fee. There are plenty of pull offs for family and friends to stop and cheer the runners on. The course has lots of small hills and has a net altitude loss of about 400 Feet from the start to the finish. There will be 15 aid stations along the route, below is the list of water stations and there mile marker. (See Map http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/461913732)
The weather this time of year has an average high of 69 and an average low of 37 so it is very comparable to the St. George Marathon so plan accordingly. Runners will be given a bag to put extra layers of clothing in which can be dropped off at any aid station and returned to the finish line at the end of the race.
POST RACE DINNER - October 21
The WigWam Motel has graciously offered a free after race dinner held in the back parking lot of the WigWam Motel located at 811 W Hopi Dr. Just show them your racing bib or shirt and they will hook you up.
