The Hip Hop Run was created by founders, Freddie and Denise, with a mission to bridge differing communities for a fun and challenging endurance race - with one of a kind live music & performances. Hip Hop Run brings the soul of Hip Hop Artists to fuel music in a family-friendly event with the goal of unifying communities through our shared passions in pursuit of healthy lifestyles. Welcome to the Hip Hop Run… Come and celebrate our differences with Fun, Love, Charity, and Compassion, while challenging yourself in the most unique endurance race you’ll ever run.

The Hip Hop Run brings entertainment to running in a fun, family friendly environment suitable for all ages. Enjoy DJ's throughout the course, playing all of the songs you know and love. Participants will have the option to take part in the 10k run, or the 5k run/walk. Be entertained after the run with a star studded lineup of DJ's at our main stage finish line. Be a part of an exciting blend of competitive exercise and stellar music. Come join The Hip Hop Run experience.

San Diego. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Anza-Borrego Desert and the Laguna Mountains to the east, and Mexico to the south, the diverse neighborhoods of San Diego are spread out over 4,200 square miles, offering endless opportunities for exploration and activities.

The Music

Legendary DJ Neil Armstrong is the official Hip Hop Run DJ. He will be on the main 1s and 2s for the entire run. After the run make sure to stop by the health and wellness fair where we bring together local vendors, health experts, and wellness pathways that support our communities organically.
