Event Description

The Birmingham Track Club gives local by hosting virtual runs where all of the proceeds are donated to the local community. The beneficiary for this run is central Alabama's Freshwater Land Trust. Run/walk/jog/crawl any distance you like in any location you want (although we certainly recommend the trails of the Red Rock Trail System - more on that below). Your participation in this event furthers our goal of a healthier community by helping us give back in a tangible way.

Entry Fee

For your entry fee of $30 you get a custom designed BTC4FWLT shirt or you can choose the "No Shirt" option during registration and pay only $20 to participate. Whichever you choose, you are providing valuable support for the Freshwater Land Trust. Please note that shirts will be ordered after the event concludes so that we can order exact quantities. You will receive information after the event about pickup/delivery options.

Where to Run

As a virtual run, you are free to run anywhere you like but we recommend getting out and exploring the many trails that are part of the Red Rock Trail System developed by the Freshwater Land Trust. Not familiar with these trails? We've got you covered with all the details. Just follow this link: https://freshwaterlandtrust.org/find-a-trail.

Prizes

We will be doing random drawings at the closing social for some really great prizes! All registrants are automatically entered into the drawings. Earn bonus entries if you:

  • Snap a picture on any FWLT trail and tag #BTC4FWLT on any social media platform
  • Get a picture with a "Litter Gitter"
  • Attend the closing social at the Trak Shak
  • Purchase an extra BTC4FWLT shirt
Closing Social

We'll close out the event with a social gathering at the Trak Shak in Homewood at 9:00 am on May 15.
