Event Description

The Great Pacific Northwest Challenge is a run, walk or bike challenge that starts in the State Capital of Olympia, Washington and takes you to Port Angeles, returning back to Olympia for a total of 335 Miles. If you complete both stages you will have run, walked or biked around Olympic National Park!  That is an awesome achievement and one you can brag about.  The event is broken into two stages.

Stage 1 (Bear Section) Olympia to Port Angeles - 120 Miles
Stage 2 (Eagle Section):  Port Angeles to Olympia - 215 Miles

For both challenges, start when you want, finish when you want.  Do stage 2 first or stage 1 first, it's your choice.  After each stage is finished we will mail you, your unique event t-shirt to commemorate your achievement.  

T-Shirts

T-Shirts are mailed after you complete each stage.  It's a great way to celebrate your achievement.

The Competition and Recording of Time/Distance

This is the part that get's fun.

You can compete anywhere you want and on your own time.  You can run, walk or bike anywhere you want, in a trail, in your neighborhood park, roads, treadmill, it's your choice.  Record your time and/ or distance** traveled and see how far you have gone.  The leaderboard will be automatically updated as you progress along the course.

** Not mandatory that you have both time and distance recorded.  You can still compete.

Donation

A portion of each participants registration fee will be donated to the Woodland Park Zoo after the event.  A letter, along with a donation check will be mailed and we will let you know how much was sent.  An additional opportunity to donate can be made during the registration process.
