ROCn’ RUN– A Virtual Experience!
Tie up the laces, turn up the tunes!. Like many other races worldwide, we’re going Virtual!
From the Producers of Rochester (NY) Lilac Festival’s legendary LILAC RUN 5k/10K, we introduce:
THE 2020 ROC’n RUN!
This race encompasses runners of all kinds- especially those who are missing the Festival scene this season. So put on your favorite band shirt, tune into our playlist (or yours!) and run like no one is watching (because they aren’t!)
DATE: June 26-28
WHERE: Anywhere in the world! A route that encompasses something musical in its path is an added bonus! See SOCIAL CONTEST below.

SOCIAL CONTEST:
Share your experience on social media for a chance to win some Aftershokz! Post a photo/video of you ROC’n in your favorite band shirt to your own beat or something musically inspired on your route. For example a music venue, artwork, or maybe even a performance! Have fun with it! Make sure to use the #ROCnRUN and tag @RochesterEvents in your post to be eligible! The most creative wins! Winner will be announced Monday, June 29th!
MUSIC PLAYLIST:
ROC to a new playlist while participating in the ROC’n RUN and tune into our curated playlist! The playlist will be released the week of the event! Make sure to answer the question, "What is your favorite song/artist to workout to?" when registering or share out your favorite song with us using the hashtag #ROCnRunHits
DETAILS:
- Registration closes on Sunday, June 28th at 6:00pm
- The distance you can choose can be done all at once or completed over the three days.
- Participants must complete the contest no later than 9:00pm on Sunday, June 28, 2020 and all results must be entered into RunSignUp by 11:59pm (more details and info on how to submit to come).
- Participants will have the option to pick up their swag or have it shipped to them for additional cost ($6). Pick up date and location still to be determined and will be available post race.
But WAIT, there’s more! A portion of the proceeds will go to MusiCares®! MusiCares® has established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to help those in the music community affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. Please join us to help keep the music community alive and thriving, giving it as much as it gives us.
