Event Description

The Run From the Sun 5k race was created to help survivors and patients with melanoma. Every penny that is given to support the cause will go to the Melanoma Research Foundation to help find a cure for Melanoma. McKenna Croft is the founder of the Run From the Sun 5k race and has a personal experience with fighting melanoma. Her cancer was found on the bottom of her foot which prevented her from running, one of her passions. During this time off, she was fortunate enough to persevere and overcome melanoma. She learned that many had it worse than she had and wanted to do anything she could to help others in need. By combining McKenna's passion for running and her mindset for helping others, she came up with the Run From the Sun 5k. It is a fun way to donate to a great cause and to wear anything orange. Please come out and join us for the 5k on July 18th, 2020. There will be medals, shirts, and prizes given at the event and if a company would like to sponsor please contact McKenna Croft.
