Event Description

WE NEED YOUR HELP! JOIN THIS VIRTUAL CHALLENGE!  To stay current with the times, we have to remain flexible and innovate, right? Things have have changed. But we are ready! Our 5th annual event will look different this year. Help us replace social distancing with community building! Whether you are a runner or would rather walk, there's a fun way for everyone to contribute to this challenge. FOR THE AVID RUNNER, THIS CHALLENGE CONSISTS OF 5 MILES FOR FOUR DAYS OVER THE COURSE OF AN 8 DAY WINDOW, FROM JULY 25TH TO AUGUST 1ST.  WALKERS ARE CHALLENGED TO WALK 1 MILE PER DAY FOR 5 DAYS OVER THE SAME TIME PERIOD. RUN OR WALK ANYWHERE, AT ANY TIME YOU WANT DURING THE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY.  By participating in this event, you help us raise awareness about child human trafficking and raise funds to enable the rescue and rehabilitation of kids in need. The trafficking of children hasn't stopped during this unprecedented time in our history. Children still need your help! We are committed to continuing our efforts to make an impact. Here's the second part of this challenge: HELP US BUILD A COMMUNITY OF CITIZENS UNITED TO STOP CHILD TRAFFICKING.  Once you have completed the challenge, post a picture of yourself on our Facebook page, Everyday Heroes. Runners also post your best time from the four runs. Both runners and walkers who post a picture wearing one of our Everyday Heroes t-shirts from a former event will be entered into a drawing for a $50.00 gift card! The top male and female runners from each age category will win a gift card. For all the walkers in the crowd, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a fabulous prize to be announced soon!
