Event Description
Join us for our 8th annual fundraising event, The Ride to the Rock, on October 3, 2020! Get ready to take in the beautiful scenic views that the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer; all the while challenging yourself to complete tough mountain climbs. The ride begins in Pickens and challenges riders with 3 routes to choose from: 40K, 60K and 100K rides.
The ride will start at 114 W Main Street, Pickens SC and travel north to Highway 11. On the ride you will see amazing views of the Table Rock Mountains and be challenged by the uphill ascents and curvy roads.
The 40K and the 60K routes will be the same as in the past.The Metric Century will climb Highway 178 towards Rosman, North Carolina before returning to Pickens.
The rides are fully supported with a SAG vehicle and 3 rest stops. Day of ride registration begins at 8am and the ride will start at 9am.
This year we will have a beer garden with music. We will also be serving up some tasty BBQ as the complimentary post ride meal from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Come ride for a cause! For 2019 the Ride to the Rock will contribute to the Pickens County Humane Society and provide improvements to the Rotary Park on the Doodle Trail. We hope to see you there!
