Loop The ‘Lupe is Seattle's best 5K obstacle course fun run! This event typically takes place at Walt Hundley Playfield in West Seattle, but to keep everyone safe, we're going virtual this year. You can complete the race anytime between now and August 23rd at 11:59 p.m.! Here's what "going virtual" means:
- YOU GET MORE SWAG: Not only will you get a cool tech t-shirt with your registration, but an awesome COVID face mask (a buff, which you can use as a handy headband or neck gaiter after we're past the pandemic).
- YOU GET TO SHOW YOUR STUFF: Loop the 'Lupe invites kids and families to tackle "ninja warrior" obstacles like wall-climbing and mud-crawling every year. In 2020, you come up with a course on your own and post it on social media! Get your team together, map out a course in your backyard or neighborhood, put on your craziest running outfits, and... ACTION! To determine our winners this year, we'll be reviewing your photos and videos on our Facebook page!
- YOU GET TO SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE: This event is one of the major fundraisers for Our Lady of Guadalupe each year. As you might imagine, the need for OLG's social outreach work--meals for shut-ins, homeless services, and help with migrant communities--is greater now than ever. So, get your friends and family involved, create your own "Loop," share it, and have some fun while raising much needed funds for those in need!
