Join us for a once in a lifetime challenge on the Brooklyn Waterfront. The new Brooklyn Waterfront Challenge, a reimagined event inspired by The Brooklyn Greenway Marathon, Half & 5K. This competitive, month-long solo running series will take place during the 31 days of October when we will challenge participants to run or walk 131 miles — the full length of the borough’s shoreline.
Participants will log their miles and compete against other runners on the event website’s distance log and leaderboard. Groups can participate as a team, so you can sign up with friends and log your miles together. There are multiple registration options to choose from so you can sign up for the Challenge that’s just right for you:
- 131 Mile ‘Full Waterfront’ Run/Walk
- 65.5 Mile ‘Half Waterfront’ Run/Walk
- 262 Mile ‘Double Waterfront’ Bike
- ‘Full Waterfront Combo’ Bike 262 Miles & Run/Walk 131 Miles
- ‘Half Waterfront Combo’ Bike 262 Miles & Run/Walk 65.5 Miles
All participants will receive an event bib and technical t-shirt, a BGI buff face covering, and a Challenge finisher medal. Brooklyn Greenway Initiative is excited to make the 2020 Greenway Challenge engaging, fun, and safe while we run, walk, and bike across the borough’s stunning waterfront. We look forward to seeing you on the Greenway this October!
