RUN / WALK DETAILS:
- Start Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2020 - July 30, 2020
- Registration Fee: No fees! This is about staying active and for community awareness
- Distance: You chose if you want to run outdoors or indoors. This race has multiple distances to chose from:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
- Ages: all ages welcome to participate
- Important: If you are running or walking outside - social distancing rules are to be in effect at all times
- If you are participating outside, please take a picture near one of our parks
HOW DOES THIS VIRTUAL RUN / WALK WORK:
- Sign up today via RunSignUp and choose the distance of your choice (5K, 1 mile, or Custom Route)
- All participants can decide where they want to walk or run: outside or inside (treadmill or indoor walking video)
- Send us your proof of participation:
- Outdoor participants: send us a picture of yourself and a screenshot of your tracking device with your final results
- Indoor participants using a treadmill: send us a picture of yourself and a picture of your treadmill screen showing your final results
- Indoor participants using a walking video: just email us letting us know you completed it. We trust you!
- Where do we send the proof of participation?
- Please send your full name, distance, and pictures to: jennifer.villa@yonkersny.gov . If you printed and customized a bib, please send us a photo of it.
- Don't have any pictures to send - just send an email with your full name and the distance you completed
- Once the event is finished, all participants will receive a digital finishers certificate
