THIS IS THE 14TH Annual King of the Hill 5K "VIRTUAL" Challenge -- THE LITTLE RACE THAT STARTED WITH ONLY 60 PEOPLE!
SEPTEMBER 1ST - SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2020 WE ARE GOING TO BRING IN LABOR DAY WEEKEND IN STYLE AND PARTY LIKE RUNNERS DO! -- WELL JUST ON OUR OWN....
GET YOUR REAL TIME TRACKING AND TIMING INCLUDED WITH YOUR REGISTRATION AND THE SWAG IS TOTALLY OPTIONAL!
OPTIONAL SWAGGGGGG:
We are going to go big and offer a bunch of swag this year for this event. We will have custom branded neck gaiters, t-shirts, and finisher medals for all finishers. HOWEVER, its totally optional. If you want to run a reasonably priced virtual run just for the competition and the results, well then you can do just that! If you want the medal and the shirt and the gaiter you can add that on to your cart when you check out. We know you will rock that frog-king neck gaiter all around town and wear your bling when you go curbside shopping after the event! Or you can just be cool and wear it around your house and Tik-Tok with it on....Ummm...Yeah, please don't do that....
MEDALS ARE PROMISED TO BE ABSOLUTELY ENORMOUS AND SHIRTS WILL BE A SPECIAL EDITION ITEM AS WELL. WE ARE JUST GOING TO BRAG AND SAY WE ARE SETTING A TREND WITH THE NECK GAITERS...OH WAIT, CORONAVIRUS ALREADY CLAIMED THAT TREND.

THE 5K CHALLENGE:
RACE THE KING OF THE HILL 5K AT VISTA VIEW PARK!
ONLY THIS YEAR ITS VIRTUAL! STARTING SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2020 AT 7:00AM & ENDING SEPTEMBER 7TH AT 7:00PM YOU CAN GO TO VISTA VIEW PARK ON YOUR OWN AND RACE THE COURSE ON RACE JOY - YOU MUST USE THE RACE JOY APP AND SUBMIT YOUR TIME VIRTUALLY. IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL, NO WORRIES, YOU CAN FIND A HILL ANYWHERE AND USE THAT AS YOUR COURSE AND SUBMIT THE TIMES THROUGH THE RACE JOY APP.
THE 2K CHALLENGE
This year we are going to bring back the 2K Challenge. This is for those Milers out there who want just a little bit more. The only catch is that you have to do it on the hill. If you are not local, you can find any 2K hill and submit your times on the race joy app as well.
Categories will be:
Male & Female Top 3 Overall
Masters Top 3 Male & Female Overall
If you are competing for an awards you MUST have finish time verification and run the actual course. You MUST use the racejoy app and also take a pictutre of the GPS data on your watch and or phone. The data must reflect the date, time, and distance completed. You must also take a picture at the top of the hill upon completion and post it to our social media page. We will outline these rules as well in your registration confirmation and in additional emails that will be sent out leading up to the race.
RUN FOR FREE!
Yes, that is right! You can run for free if you refer friends. Its simple: After you register just send your registration link that you will be provided to your friends and family. For each person that signs up through your link, you will get paid! If you get 5 people to sign up you will receive your registration fee back. Hows that for a deal?
The race ANYWHERE division is not eligible to compete for the overall awards. We are not going to let 2020 slip by without naming the King of the Hill! This has been a prestigious title bestowed up on many as they enter the South Florida running season.
Lets keep up the tradition and see who will be the 2020 King & Queen of the Hill!

RACE COMPETITION SCHEDULE:
STARTING: 7:00AM TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST
ENDING: 7:00PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH
YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR TIMES WITHIN THE GIVE TIME FRAME - NO EXCEPTIONS. THIS IS AN ACTUAL RACE AND IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR TIMES WITH THE ACTUAL "WEEK-LONG" RACE PERIOD YOU WILL BE TREATED AS A NO-SHOW TO TH EVENT. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AND NO EXCEPTIONS. THERE WILL NOT BE A MEDAL, NECK GAITER, OR A SHIRT ORDERED FOR YOU EITHER AS THESE ARE "FINISHER ITEMS"...NO FINISH - NO SWAG! YOU HAVE 1 WEEK TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN, SO GET OUT THERE AND LETS SEE WHO THE HILL ROYALTY WILL BE !
PLEASE NOTE: VERIFY PARK OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES AS THEY MAY DIFFER FROM THE RESULTS SUBMISSION STARTING AND ENDING TIMES. FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU SHOW UP AT THE PARK AT 6:59PM ON SEPTEMBER 7TH, MOST LIKELY YOU WILL GET KICKED OUT BEFORE YOU CAN FINISH.
