Event Description

Autumn is a five year old battling cancer. On May 5, 2019, she was first diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and went through chemotherapy. On May 29, 2020 her cancer returned in her bone marrow. Due to CoVid 19 and social unrest, only her parents can be with her at the hospital. Her brother and sisters are unable to visit, and other family members don't dare venture near for fear of bringing an illness around the family. Autumn's extended family includes many aunts, uncles and cousins that enjoy running, including her father who completed the Boston Marathon a few years back. In honor of Autumn and her continued will to fight, and a way to show support for her and her family when everything is virtual and socially distanced, we bring you the Magical Miles for Autumn run. Unicorns and pineapples are her favorite items right now. Show your support by participating in this virtual run at the unicorn, pineapple or magical level and receive some great swag. By entering in one of these three levels, you will be entered into a raffle for various items to include gift certificates for running shoes. There is no specified distance to complete for this event. However, her uncle will be completing a 100 mile trail run the weekend of October 31 and we hope to at least match the 100 miles through your participation..She was named the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 2020 Girl of the Year.
