Join The Learning Spectrum and Learning 4 Life Farm for the second annual TLS Alpaca Trot to benefit Learning 4 Life Farm job training for autism. This year the event is bigger and better with a 1 mile fun walk/run AND a 5k trail run at beautiful Infirmary Mound Park in Granville. Kids, families, walkers and runners welcome! The 1-mile course will be wheelchair and stroller-friendly. Invite your family and friends to sponsor you to help us build our job training farm for teens and young adults on the autism spectrum. And don’t forget your custom-made TLS Alpaca Trot Tshirt, designed by a TLS student on the autism spectrum in our annual Tshirt Design Contest. 5k registration fee includes a Tshirt, and 1 mile participants can order a Tshirt as an add-on. Please note, we are planning an in-person event with a virtual option, but may go fully virtual if required for COVID safety.
The Learning Spectrum (TLS) provides educational and therapy services to preK-12th grade students on the autism spectrum in central Ohio. Learning 4 Life Farm is creating a 7-acre farm in Johnstown, Ohio with gardens and therapy alpacas to provide transition job training for teens and young adults on the autism spectrum, in partnership with TLS. Learning 4 Life Farm’s mission is to provide quality training for young adults on the autism spectrum and provide meaningful employment in the community upon completion of training. SHIRT DESIGNS
Our TLS Student Tshirt Design Contest will take place August 20 through September 1. TLS students on the autism spectrum will design Tshirts and TLS staff, families and community members will get to vote for their favorite design! Sign up for the TLS Alpaca Trot by August 31 and we’ll send you a link to vote. 5k registration fee includes a Tshirt, and 1 mile participants can order a Tshirt as an add-on. Tshirt orders will also be available for TLS staff and families through their school sites. Race participant Tshirts can be picked up on raceday, or, if the event goes virtual, we will mail you your Tshirt.
