The Save A Heart 5K is held every year in observance of World Heart Day, which is used to focus attention on physical fitness, healthy weight and good lifestyle choices as best for preventing heart disease and stroke, which are the world’s leading causes of death.
This year (2020), we will be hosting our Save A Heart 5K through a virtual platform. With current COVID-19 social distancing recommendations, we feel this method is the safest way for our community to participate this year.
Event participants will be able to track their distance/time through different activity types - Walk, Run, Cycling, Swim, Paddle/Row, and Group Fitness Activities (Yoga, Kickboxing, Tai-Chi, etc). Event participants also have the ability to build their own teams and participate as a group.
This virtual 5K Your Way is free to the public and family friendly. Participate at your own time, pace and location!
