Wild Wild Wilderness 2020 is here! Yes, it’s here!
Thanks so much for supporting KRR. We are excited to celebrate 40 years of the Wild Wild Wilderness race.
Rewind in time to the 80s with the funky fresh swag.
First, we will have 3 race options: 1. 5k only - swag include a buff and a medal 2. 7.45 only - swag includes a buff and a medal 3. Challenge which is both races and the swag is a race t-shrt, a buff and the medal for both races plus a charm for the challenge. You have until August 31 to sign up to secure a medal.
Race registration will remain open until September 19th which is the day we had previously scheduled for the race.
You will still get a buff for the single race or both the buff and shirt for the challenge. You will not get a medal if you register after August 31st.
Location:This year's race is Virtual. You have the option to run where you like, as long as you run the designated length of the race selected. OR The actual course s located in Kickapoo State Recreation Area, west of Danville, Illinois. Take I-74 to exit 206 or 210 and follow the signs to the park. Both courses start near the Meadow Shelter. You can run the 7.45 Wilderness Trail or the 5K Clear Pond Trail or both. You will enjoy a rugged course in the woods, where you will climb and descend steep hills, cross creeks and bridges and if you are lucky, see a deer, turkey or other wildlife. This is a scenic and challenging run.
Date/Time: This year's race is Virtual. You will have 30 days to complete the race.

WWW Challenge -Both Trails $50

Regulations: NO Refunds. This race must be completed in one day, not over the course of 30 days. If running the challenge, both races must be compelted within 48 hours of each other.
